New Toy

Kory, Keegan & Logan went to look at 4-Wheelers on Saturday afternoon, they ended up doing a little more than looking! So here is the new family toy - the second seat is removable, but I say it stays on permanently! Keegan and Logan headed out this morning to scout for deer and try it out in the hills!
Notice who is driving!

Homecoming activities

Homecoming for Declo was last week. There were tons of activities for the students. Kory & I ran out for the Powder Puff game on Friday afternoon, so we could see Logan the cheerleader. I must say his cousins (Jen & Abbie Jo) would have been very proud of his cheer leading ability. The boys all did a great job and they played the cheerleader part for the whole game, they were also the 1/2 time entertainment! Later that evening we were back at the field to watch the Varsity homecoming game. My camera battery gave out, right after my picture of the team huddle. One of our best memories of this evening was Keegan surprising us and coming home from Boise and walking into Logan's homecoming game. Keegan did tell his grandfather (who kept the secret) that he was coming home! Thanks Keeg it was great to have you home for the weekend! Unfortunately Delco lost to Malad 22 to 26!
Isn't he cute?

Couldn't quite zip up the skirt!
This is the football team in the homecoming parade!
Logan (18) after the team huddle!

Green Thumb

I just had to share the fact that my husband truly has a green thumb. He has worked so hard in his garden all summer. I have been saying all summer how I needed to take some pictures of his garden. Well I didn't get it done before the big wind storm on Friday night, the garden survived but the wind blew over all the tomato plants. Two of the tomato plants were as tall as I am before they blew over, I am so mad that I didn't take pictures earlier. Kory decided to grow eggplant this year, we had already eaten one before the wind storm and the one below is one we rescued Saturday morning from underneath a tomato plant. His eggplants were perfect!

BSU FAN

Saturday was Boise State's Homecoming game and Keegan went all out showing his school spirit. This game was actually Keegan's first BSU football game. It is so good to know see him enjoying college life! GO BRONCO'S!

Keegan & Tyler Shockey headed for the game!

Chancey & Logan's best friends

We have a couple of very special family members.
Cloey is a 6 month old wiener (dachshund) dog, who loves popcorn, chips and really anything we eat. Cloey was Chancey's 13th birthday present back in May, but we are all very attached to her! The video below is Kory and Cloey sharing popcorn with a little teasing from Kory.
This picture is special for Kaylie Crane of Chancey's wiener puppy!

And here is Logan's best friend Remi (short for Remington, like the gun!). The doves are from their Sunday hunt. Logan has spent many hours teaching Remi to retrieve birds and his hard work and patience is finally paying off!

Football Game 2

Friday Night Lights - Declo vs. Kimberly
Logan was cleared to play! There was just one little issue this week number 81 came in as number 18! So Logan's number for the next 2 years will be 18! It was great to see him playing again and even more fun to see him be part of a winning team. Yes Declo won 26 to 20! It was Kimberly 20 Declo 0, with 6 minutes left in the 2nd quarter. By half time the score was Declo 14 Kimberly 20. Declo had 2 more touch downs in the 2nd half!

New Dorm Room

Most of you know the story behind Keegan's dorm room move. So for those of you that don't I will make it short. He was suppose to be in the newer dorms (Taylor Hall) with the business students. Due to the fact that we couldn't move him in early they kicked him out and into the Morrison dorm with the engineering students. Keegan discovered there was an empty room at Taylor Hall and he applied to move! Today everything was approved and he was able to move. The move is proving to be very positive on a couple of notes, his room is a little bit bigger, much newer and his dorm mates are much friendlier. So here are some pictures of his new setup! The BSU homecoming game is this weekend, so everyone watch for Keegan on the TV, he will be at the game showing his school spirit! GO BRONCO'S!

Mixed Emotions

EXCITED!
Just to let everyone know the update on Logan. HE IS CLEARED TO PLAY!!! I know he is so excited and he has been good natured about spending the summer in a cast and not being able to do anything! So tonight he is a very happy football player!

IN OTHER NEWS...
I just wanted to let Keegan know that we are so proud of him. He is studying very hard. We miss him, but we know that he is having fun and enjoying college life! GO BRONCOS!

Sorry no pictures with this post, but there will be pictures to follow. Logan on the grid iron and Keegan is hopefully moving to a new dorm room this week, so hopefully I have lots of pictures by the weekend!

Football Game 1

Tonight was Logan's first football game! All of us that know and love Logan, know that football is his favorite sport! The first game excitement was met with mixed emotion as Logan still has not recieved the doctor's clearance to play. The broken wrist from BSU football camp has made for a long summer. We do have a doctor's appointment on Monday 9/8/08, let's hope all looks good and Logan can play! Even though Logan couldn't play I had to take a few pictures and he had a great group of fans - Dad, Mom, Chancey, Grandpie and the Kruckenburg's were all there! Logan was number 46 tonight, but by next week his real jersey will be here and his number will be 81! Tonight's game was against Aberdeen (ranked #2 in the state).
The final score was Aberdeen 27 Declo 6! Running onto the field as a varsity football player!
Watching from the sidelines, hoping he can play next week!

Volleyball

School has started and that means the start of fall sports! Anyone that knows our family knows we really never take a break from someone doing a sport! Chancey had volleyball tryouts during fair week and yes she made the 8th grade team! Volleyball is not her favorite sport but it gets her in shape for basketball (the favorite sport). Here are a few pictures from her first couple games, they have won 2 and lost 2!

Parade & Ice skating

We spent Labor Day weekend in Sun Valley. It was the 50th Anniversary of Wagon Days!!! Keegan meet us in Sun Valley from Boise. My camera battery went dead during the parade, which was a bummer because the Budwiser Clydesdale's team was in the parade. Sunday there was another showing of the Clydesdale team. We missed it because we stayed in Belevue to watch the parade there. Logan, Chancey, Abbie & Clyde got tons of candy at this parade. We then discovered that we had missed the Clydesdale showing. Later we discovered the Clydedale team was staying just down the road from us, because we followed their trucks. We got to see them unload a couple of the horses from the road, they were apparently staying at someone's ranch!
We then headed to Sun Valley so the kids could go Ice Skating and we could check out the car auction! When we got back to camp Clyde loaded up all the kids and they headed to see if they could see the Clydesdale horses. Clyde pulled down into the ranch and they quickly found out they couldn't see the horses. I read in the paper that the horse have 24 hour security! But the kids have a great memory - Thanks Uncle Clyde!

Kory, Chancey & Cloey waiting for the parade!

These pictures are us following the Clydesdales semi's

This is one of the horse's we got to see them unload, we were watching from the road!

Below are the elk, I forgot this part of the story! When Clyde took the kids to see the horses, even though they had no luck seeing the horses, they did find some elk!
