Las Vegas Motor Speedway
Kory & I recieved the most awesome Christmas present from Dad & Barb... a trip Las Vegas and tickets to the Nascar races both Saturday and Sunday. We headed for Vegas Friday, February 27th with Dad & Barb, Ken & Nanette Kostka, & Larry & Tonya Clair. Our ride to Vegas was in a 40 foot motorhome, which we were parking at the Speedway. We arrived in the afternoon and after getting settled in our rooms at The Orleans, it was off to see Kenny Wayne Shepard (an awesome guitar player, who has is own show and band). It was a great show Kenny was totally amazing, I could have watched him play for hours!
Saturday, February 28th
Off to the races... Saturday we went to the "Neon Garage", yes it was an extra charge, but so worth it. We got to go down on pit road. We also got to see the crews working on all the cars for Sunday's race. And we were at Victory Lane to see the winner Greg Biffle after he won the race.

were really close!
Dale Jr's car ready for Sunday's race, yes he is my favorite driver!

Sunday, March 1st
Sunday we headed to our actual seats - right in the middle of turns 3 & 4. The seats were awesome we could see the whole track. The sun was shining and we were ready to hear the cars rumble. Of course we had a little pool and everyone had their driver picked!

Lined up and ready for the start... It was hard to get a good picture of the cars
going 180 miles an hour...
Both evenings following the race we Barbqued dinner at the motorhome and hung out around the camp fire. It can take over 3 hours to get out of the parking lots, hence the reason we took a motorhome. So we could cook dinner, hang out and then when things cleared out we could jump in our little jeep (long story) and head back to the hotel!
Larry telling us some story... apparently it was funny. Dad, Tonya, Barb & Nan
